A caste of features
Two eyes, a nose and mouth
A caste of features in any voice pronounced a face.
What combinations these adhere
to make expression.
What subtle turn of cheek
and lift of chin will alter innuendo
to another meaning still and
cannot be, cannot remain unmoving.
Oh face what dost thou reveal when I’m not looking.
Shatter the mask that wears me inside out
that wears me out.
I am no more this than that
portrait
In the eye of the beholder
The heart of the eye
The eye of the storm
Seeing.
